ABOUT THE PROJECT
I worked closely with Chef and Owner, Teague Moriarity, to develop a site that would serve the same attention to detail and cadence as the experience provided in dining with his Michelin-Star team.
The Sons & Daughters landing page features full-width parallax scrolling images that both entice and excite visitors with their dramatic reveal effect. Hero Images atop each page celebrate the exquisite dishes created by Sons & Daughters, while at the same time providing reference to the the page itself.
Using a modular system, the site retains both aesthetic and functional continuity across each of its main pages.
At the end of each meal, guests are gifted with a take-home menu. The concept I created features the idea of a dramatic reveal, with the Sons & Daughters logo letterpressed in gold foil atop the back-fold of an accordion fold-out menu. As guests pull and unfold their menu card, they’re greeted with a personalized message and the evening’s tasting menu.
The menu was designed to be letterpressed and scored at an offsite press, but able to then be printed with the evening’s ever-changing menu and personalized guest greetings at the restaurant each day.
A Neenah Eggshell Finish paper stock in Antique Gray was chosen to complement the restaurant finishes.
